After the shock of HYT going out of business in February 2021, we were happy to read that the creator of mechanical timepieces with coloured fluid displays would resume its operation in November. Davide Cerrato was appointed as CEO, who pressed the reset button on HYT’s strategy. While in Geneva, we were eager to hear about the new directions and see the novelties.
With its liquid capillary technology HYT has built up the entire brand around the ‘Fluidity of Time’ concept. The philosophy and the constraints of the technology are together shaping the design which is one of the most original out there. François Nunez, VP Creative Director presented the 2019 novelties to us at the SIHH.
HYT Watches rocked the Skull Axl Rose and the Skull pocket watch at SIHH 2017.
