HYT Watches at the Geneva Watch Days 2022

HYT watches exhibited for the first time at the Geneva Watch Days – the brand amplified the colours in the Hotel Beau Rivage with new variations of their models.

Earlier this year we covered the new chapter and the new direction of HYT watches and the novelties of spring 2022. Please discover it here.

For the 10th anniversary of HYT the Moon Runner White Neon watch stole the spotlight, quite literally. It combines the latest generation of Super-LumiNova®, developed by the leading Swiss laboratory RC Tritec, with a new hyper luminescent hybrid ceramic and a new luminescent material called Tec Light®. We tested it even in a pitch black room – please see the glow below.

It has a 48 mm Hydro Carbon and Tec Light® case with a sapphire crystal dome and the functions are driven by the 601-MO calibre, a mechanical hand-wound movement with a 72-hour power reserve.

Two central rotating titanium belts show the month and the day which can be read at 6 o’clock. They form a nest to the big and beautiful- ‘Supernova’ titanium moon. An arch from 12 o’clock reaches over the planet and by looking through the ring at its end, you get to see which part of the moon is lit. It is a limited and numbered edition of 10 pieces.

To the more fiery watch lovers there is the HYT Moon Runner Red Magma on a black rubber and red Alcantara strap and very strong red details, for example the capillary for the hours is filled with a red liquid, one of the middle rings is red and of course the moon is also in black and red titanium in the centre of the dial.

A new variant of the Hastroid Supernova was also a novelty at this year’s Geneva Watch Days. The blue tones could be the choice even for the less adventurous souls – it is in a less sharp contrast with the anthracite of the carbon and titanium case than on the Green Laser for example.

Hastroid is the time-only version with a seconds and a power reserve indicator in the sub dials. The legibility is really ideal, with big Arabic numerals for the hours on the ring outside, markers on the tube for easy reading and a large minute hand in the centre. The 501CM movement can be observed in the front with the two bellows at 6 o’clock.
