The new ‘Racer III’ SF-P3C/02 from SEVENFRIDAY is out for the summer biking season. We got our hands on the prototype in early spring.

SEVENFRIDAY, the reckless kid in the world of seriousness, has defined itself far differently than a typical watchmaking company would. Beyond the recognisable bold mechanical watches they gradually went on to create all kinds of cool accessories. What makes the brand unique is that the owner Daniel Niederer and his team envisioned a rather special world around these design objects.

In SEVENFRIDAY-land entertainment, laid-back chillin’, gastro-experiences and attachment-free casual dating between the guest and the product are perfectly part of the game. They pulled up dedicated Spaces with likeminded partners in 16+ cities around the world, where concerts, art projects and good food attract amazed tourists, but also a returning community. We visited the Zurich Space last year for the first time.

Early this spring we returned to check out the refurbished living room, the restaurant the company has completely taken over (previously it was operated by a separate company) and of course the prototypes coming out in 2019.

The ‘Racer’ is a mini-series, which injects nitro into the P-line. The black P3C/02 is the third Racer inspired by and designed for the riders of the open road. Just like its predecessors, the P3B/01 Racer and the P3B/03 Racing Team Yellow & Team Red models it shouts for a run out on winding roads with full throttle.

The case is 47.6 x 47mm stainless steel treated with black PVD. The bezel has a duo finishing: polished and sandblasted. The watch face is built up in 4 layers. The black silicone strap is stitched with a red thread.

The black base colour is combined with white and grey details and red accents that underline the heated temper. The red hour hand is filled with luminous painting, the minute hand is grey and red, with luminous painting and the pointer of the AM-PM indicator is also red.

The customised Miyota 82S7 automatic movement works in an encasing that is waterproof to 100m – for the first time at SEVENFRIDAY.

The ‘Racer III’ SF-P3C/02has become available this May at sevenfriday.com, at official authorised retail partners and in the SEVENFRIDAY Spaces of course.

Zenith Defy Extreme at Watches and Wonders 2021 Zenith debuted strong and distinguishing Defy timepieces at this year’s online Watches and Wonders edition and highlighted the brand’s involvement in Extreme E, the new off-road electric racing championship.
