At the last Geneva Watch Days Claude Meylan played with lively and iridescent pastel colours. At this edition we had the chance to discover the Ondine pieces – two models with mother-of-pearl and turquoise.
The interconnected circles of the Ondine watches are inspired by the ripples created in water. Water is really close to the brand’s heart, as La Lionne river runs in front of the manufacture at L’Abbaye in the Vallée de Joux, the birthplace of Claude Meylan (and they have a collection named after the river).
Two Ondine 35mm models are in steel and rose gold plated steel – these have open rings throughout the bracelet. The latest versions opt for rings filled with mother-of-pearl and turquoise discs.
The feminine, slightly 70s style is combined with the skeletonized Peseux 7001 manual movement.
