To mark the tenth anniversary of Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud, the manufacture presents its first book with Assouline, Ferdinand Berthoud: The Quest for Precision.
I discovered the love-child of Karl-Friedrich Scheufele (co-president of Chopard), the Chronomètre FERDINAND BERTHOUD FB 1 timepiece at Salon QP 2015. In 2006 Karl-Friedrich Scheufele acquired the rights to the name Ferdinand Berthoud, who was appointed Horologist-Mechanic to the French Navy under Louis XV. Since then the Manufacture not only released great timepieces but also became known for meticulous artisan craftsmanship, technical innovations, and unwavering commitment to chronometric and aesthetic perfection.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary, the Manufacture unveils its the first signature publication, produced in collaboration with the renowned book publisher and luxury lifestyle company Assouline: Ferdinand Berthoud – The Quest for Precision. This exceptional volume traces the evolution of the brand, up to the unveiling of the most ambitious and technically advanced project to date: Naissance d’une Montre 3.
Through immersive storytelling and carefully curated imagery, the book offers a detailed insight into the world of Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud. The book is available here and in the Assouline boutiques.
