With the new Sunlight Radiant Infinity capsule and Limelight Gala watch Piaget is catching the last rays of sun before the moody winter days.
Piaget is a master of radiance and shine – the artisans of the Maison combine the precise and emblematic jewellery design with unique savoir-faire, like fine goldsmith techniques.
Piaget’s Sunlight Radiant Infinity capsule collection plays with textures, volumes, and forms to render the unpredictable glow of the Sun. The goldsmiths used the contrasts of finishes to allow the pieces reflect the light uniquely – the surfaces of the jewels are polished or decorated with the sumptuous metal texture decoration, so-called ‘palace décor’. This technique originates back to 1961 and since then makes the Piaget pieces even more recognisable.

The new line consists of earrings, bracelet, rings and a pendant on a thin gold chain – all set with brilliant-cut diamonds enhancing the sparkle further on the warm gold toned jewellery.

The Limelight Gala watches are very feminine, elegant but bold timepieces embracing the asymmetrical design with different gemstones, dial variations and colours. On the new Limelight Gala, the pure, mother-of-pearl dial is decorated with alternating diamonds-set indexes and pink gold Roman numerals. 42 brilliant-cut diamonds are set on the rose gold case using the intricate technique of ‘serti descendu’. It is a sort of prong setting handmade by setter into gold with a burin. By allowing the light to enter the stone also from the sides the technique magnifies the brilliance of each diamond.
