La Quête du Temps Exhibition at Watches and Wonders Geneva

Vacheron Constantin unveils, for the very first time at its booth, an exhibition of five outstanding creations, including the astronomical automaton clock designed for the Maison’s 270th anniversary.

The Vacheron Constantin booth at Watches and Wonders 2026 offers a unique showcase, called La Quête du Temps (The Quest for Time). The La Quête du Temps astronomical clock is the culmination of seven years of development. It uniquely blends artistic crafts, a timekeeping instrument with 22 complications, and a functional automaton that indicates the time to the rhythm of a musical choreography. This technical marvel, composed of 6,293 components and protected by 15 patents was exhibited at the Musée du Louvre in 2025 and is making its first appearance in Switzerland.

The Métiers d’art – Tribute to the Quest of Time watch has a bi-retrograde display of hours and minutes, a three-dimensional moon phase, and the movement of the constellations according to the sidereal day.

The 260th Anniversary pocket watch, Reference 57260, set a world record in 2015 with its 57 complications, including the first ever perpetual Hebrew calendar.

Then, in 2024, The Berkley Grand Complication redefined the standards with 63 horological complications, becoming the most complicated watch in the world at its launch. Its major achievement: the integration of a true perpetual Chinese calendar, a world first, the result of 11 years of development, including a full year dedicated to its assembly, thus setting an essential milestone in contemporary watchmaking.

Finally, the Solaria Ultra Grande Complication – La Première established itself in 2025 as the most complex wristwatch in horological history. The result of eight years of research and development, it is protected by 13 patents. Its 41 complications include a combination of five astronomical functions, an absolute first for a wristwatch.
