Czapek & Cie. latest novelty, the Antarctique Purple Storm was unveiled in avant première at The Horology Club’s 3rd Anniversary event in Hong Kong on November 20, 2024.
The manufacture presents a 18-pieces limited edition series of the Czapek Antarctique Purple Storm with a one-of-a-kind hand-varnished dial crafted by Czapek’s manufacturing partner, dial specialist Metalem. Metalem SA is a Swiss watch dial-maker in the Jura region since 1928. More than 200 experienced and passionate artisans work together every day to create the dials that will embellish the timepieces of prestigious watch manufacturers. The artisans are working with Philippe Dufour, Chopard, Montblanc, and many more.
Each dial of the Purple Storm series is unique, and features a mesmerising violet gradient crafted with precision and artistry. As light touches the surface, swirling, layered shades of purple are revealed, reminiscent of storm clouds rolling across the sky.
At the heart of this stainless-steel timepiece is Czapek’s in-house SXH5 caliber, as other Antarctique models. The novelty comes with an integrated stainless steel bracelet with the ‘Easy Release’ system and micro-adjustment mechanism and a matching purple alligator strap, or rubber strap.
