Christie’s is releasing its 2023 Spring Watch Calendar with a total of 8 auctions to be held in Hong Kong, Dubai, Geneva and New York between March and June.
The spring will not only bring a lot of new watches with events like Watches & Wonders, Time to Watches and more but also a great selection of timepieces from the biggest auction houses, such as Christie’s.
Featuring the world’s leading names in watchmaking such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, Vacheron Constantin or Audemars Piguet and excellent niche watch brands, Christie’s watch auctions attract a wide audience of collectors. Now Christie’s Watches just announced 4 online sales and 4 live auctions from March to early June.
Hong Kong
The ‘Top of the Time’ is Hong Kong’s very first online sale and launches the season, from 10 to 20 March 2023. It features over 100 lots, with two exceptional highlights: a Patek Philippe Ref. 5208P Minute Repeater single-button chronograph with perpetual calendar and a Patek Philippe Grand Complications ‘Sky Moon Tourbillon’ Ref. 6002G-001 (with blue champlevé and cloisonné enamel dial), regarded as one of the most notable achievements in modern horology.
The ‘Important Watches’ Live sale will be hosted on 26 May. The auction showcases a masterpiece by Patek Philippe, a Ref. 2523J World Time or a Patek Philippe Ref. 5002, in a unique combination of rose gold, black dial and 12 diamond indexes.
Dubai
The ‘Watches Online: The Dubai Edit’ will open the Christie’s Middle East Spring season, from 24 April to 4 May. The curated collection includes Richard Milles and Rolexes with a selection of iconic Daytonas (such as Ref. 6263 and Ref. 6265), Rolex Day-Date watches with special stone dials and some beautiful models made specially for the Arabic world such as the unique complication Parmigiani Fleurier Hijri perpetual calendar limited to only 25 pieces.
Geneva
Christie’s will also present an ensemble of F.P Journe timepieces in a standalone thematical auction with 40 creations of the celebrated contemporary watchmaker on 13 May and the ‘Rare Watches’ on 15 May. As usual, a selection of lots offered in both live auctions will be exhibited worldwide before their arrival for exhibition at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva prior to the event.
You can browse sought-after pieces by Rolex, Cartier, Patek Philippe, and more at the ‘Watches Online: Geneva Edit sale’ 9 to 23 May.
