"Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without." - Confucius

I just recently discovered the revamped JEANRICHARD watches in live. Last year in La Chaux-de-Fonds I had the chance to browse through their collections; the four pillars of the brand. Terrascope, Aquascope, Aeroscope and 1681 (self-winding watch, with its JEANRICHARD manufacture movement) are the land, water, air and the “heritage-line” of the brand.

This January the brand showed us the latest Terrascope pieces at the Mandarin Oriental Geneva. The case of the new line is 39mm, makes it easy-to-wear for women and small wrist owners. With the introduction of this size JEANRICHARD opened new possibilities for more feminine or a bit more elegant design.

And the range is really wide, with many option: sandblasted, satin-finished, grained or mother-of-pearl (in different color) dial; leather, rubber, alligator, ostrich straps or the alligator skin textured elastic rubber of the strap (called Rubbergator). The case of the Terrascope is modular, so there is a choice even using different materials, colors or coating.

Already on the 44mm the shape and the proportions are great. Thanks to the design the watch seems to be a smaller and is more comfortable to wear than one might expected it. The 39mm model made it even a greater “fit on the wrist”.

The JEANRICHARD concept as a whole is kind of cool; the composition and the many variety of the watches, the packaging, the ambassadors and the attitude in general. The brand has a strong “Philosophy of life” connected to exploration, dynamism, travel, independence and an active lifestyle.
