INTERWOVEN, the first edition of new exhibition series Homo Faber Capsule will open in Seville, Spain this autumn.

This July Homo Faber announced INTERWOVEN, a Homo Faber Capsule, the first edition of a new exhibition series designed to showcase a curated selection of craft talents from Homo Faber Guide.

While Homo Faber Biennial, the flagship celebration of international craftsmanship, always takes place in Venice (next edition September 2026), each edition of Homo Faber Capsule will be held in a different city around the world, with a theme inspired by that location. Held every two years, Homo Faber Capsule will highlight the work of selected creative artisans chosen by jury following an open call to all the artisans profiled on Homo Faber Guide.

The first edition, INTERWOVEN, takes place in Seville, Spain, a city with a multi-layered cultural history and rich textile heritage. Inspired by this, INTERWOVEN celebrates the interconnected nature of craftsmanship, revealing the diverse traditions, techniques, materials and human stories that are woven together to create a handcrafted object.

Encompassing 35 objects by artisans and ateliers from 15 countries on four continents, and representing 24 crafts, the final selection was chosen by a nine-member jury of internal and external experts. The selection reflects the diversity of cultures, crafts and nations present on Homo Faber Guide. INTERWOVEN will be held from 22 October to 23 November 2025 at the historic Real Fábrica de Artillería – see more about the participating artisans here
