In 2024 Cartier presented the Nature Sauvauge high jewellery collection. The wide range of haute joaillerie creations showcase the animal world in a beautiful and precious way – snakes, zebra, panthers, and flamingos in different styles and on versatile jewellery pieces.
Now the Maison launches the Nature Sauvage Chapter 3 in Paris, during the Haute Couture Week. The new Echina high jewellery necklace is set around an emerald centre stone on an openwork diamond-paved lacework, with a structure of coral-studded emeralds and sapphires. It also pays tribute to the stylistic history of the Maison, which introduced these ribbed beads to its creations in the 1920s.
Cartier dedicates three outstanding necklaces to felines – a tiger made up of yellow, orange, brown, white diamonds and onyx; a white gold-diamond panther in the jungle, laying on a 26.53 ct Ceylon sapphire, and a versatile panther necklace in white gold, emerald, onyx, and diamonds.
The Ispida ring features a kingfisher bird in yellow gold with streaks of sapphire – the bird wraps its wings around a 15.21 ct cushion-cut tourmaline.
‘A new perspective of the Cartier fauna, to surprise, amaze and bring modernity by way of unexpected encounters. Expressive jewellery which showcases the attitudes and personality of an animal, its vitality. Like an actor, it plays with graphics, with volume and optical illusions, blending into an imaginary landscape. This is the spirit of Nature Sauvage.’ – Jacqueline Karachi, Director of High Jewellery Creation
