On 26 August, Vacheron Constantin releases two Overseas ultra-thin perpetual calendar models – one in pink gold with a matching golden-toned dial and the other in white gold with a burgundy lacquer dial.

Vacheron Constantin celebrates its 270th anniversary this year. The company commemorates the significant milestone by a number of events and collections. The fall is welcomed by two ultra thin Overseas models, which we previewed in the recently renovated boutique in Zurich

The Overseas line was born in 1996 as an invitation by the Maison to travel to the seven seas. It was a tribute to Amerigo Vespucci with a depiction of his famous three-mast ship.

Appreciated by globetrotters, the Overseas timepieces offer a great design, comfort and wear. The six-sided bezel, the lugs and the fluted crown evoke the lines of the Maltese cross, the brand’s trademark. The case-back, fitted with a sapphire crystal, reveals a 22k gold oscillating weight adorned with a wind rose. With the removable steel/gold bracelets, the leather and the rubber straps, it is easy to change the style of the watch without any tools, .

New Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin

One of the new ultra-thin perpetual calendars comes in pink gold with a matching golden-toned dial, while the other is white gold with a burgundy lacquer dial. Both novelties have 41.5mm cases with 18k gold bracelets and two additional rubber straps in different colours. The bracelet system offers a very quick and effortless changing and versatility. The pink gold version is complemented by a choice of white or blue rubber, while the white gold is paired with white and burgundy.

The 8.1mm-thick case houses the ultra-thin (a mere 4mm) self-winding 276 components manufacture calibre 1120 QP/1. The movement incorporates a perpetual calendar and moon-phase display. It is equipped with a 22K gold Overseas oscillating weight loading the mainspring that stores energy for an approximate 40 hours running. The balance wheel is beating at a frequency of 2.75 Hz (19,800 vibrations per hour).

The minutes track of the pink gold model has subtle blue punctuation, matching the chic tone-on-tone aesthetic of the case, bracelet, sunburst satin-finished dial and the pink gold moon-phase display.

The cool tones of the white gold case, numerals and indexes create a rich contrast with the burgundy lacquer dial and the moon-phase disc.
