H. Moser & Cie. just presented the 100-piece limited edition Endeavour Chronograph Compax, in collaboration with Massena LAB.

Inspired by Moser models from the mid-20th century, the company launched the Endeavour Chronograph Compax in collaboration with Massena LAB and in a limited edition of 100 units.

Massena LAB was founded by William Massena, a noted watch collector and industry expert, in 2018 as a collaborative studio. Massena LAB creates, designs and develops timepieces with renowned watchmakers. William Massena is known to have a keen eye for details and he is a long-standing friend of H. Moser & Cie. – ‘Taking inspiration from Moser chronographs from the 1940s, what intrigued me the most during this collaboration was the tension between the maximalist vintage aesthetic of the past and the radical minimalism at the heart of modern-day H. Moser & Cie. marrying these two philosophies was a challenge, but the resulting Endeavour Chronograph Compax is a watch which links the past and present, whilst looking firmly towards the future.’ – he shares about his approach.

Originally Compax was a model of Universal Genève around 1934, a chronograph watch with minute and hour counters and small seconds at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. Nowadays the term is often used for a chronograph with subdials, but not only necessarily in the above setting. The new 41mm stainless steel H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Chronograph Compax is inspired by historic Moser chronographs from the 1940s. It has a symmetrical face with two sub-dials at 3 and 9 o’clock, one for the small seconds and the other for the 45-minute chronograph. The colour of the dial is the signature Funky Blue fumé, with a historic Moser logo and Super-LumiNova® coated tachymetric scale, sub-dials and hands. On the back of the timepiece we can admire the HMC 220 automatic Manufacture calibre with Dubois Dépraz chronograph module. The novelty is completed with a brown kudu leather strap with white stitching.

Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie. explains, ‘The Endeavour Chronograph Compax model is more than just a watch: It is a timeless declaration, a bridge between the past and present, and a marvellous illustration of the ability of both brands to push the limits of innovation ever further, whilst celebrating the watchmaking heritage of H. Moser & Cie. It does not settle for simply telling a story; it takes you on a journey, immersing its wearer in a world where time meets discovery and innovation.’
