"Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without." - Confucius

As the jewellery shows keep the Gulf excited, Mouawad, the most traditional house of the region raises the mood even higher by introducing their new Boutique Collection, Oriana.

According to Pascal Mouawad, co-guardian of the family business, for this collection the craftsmen were inspired by Venice – the Italian city of romance.

Venice influenced our civilization profoundly for more than three hundred years. The power of the Doge (the ruler of Venice) was based on trade as the city made fortunes from custom duties and by connecting worlds via sea. The economic power enabled Venice to build and maintain the largest and technologically most advanced marital army of the time, and the city expanded its political influence well beyond the Mediterranean.
Venice attracted artists, scientists, historians, musicians, poets from near and far and became the centre of culture and arts for centuries.

Generous supporters, called “maecenas” like the Medicis fuelled the cultural life that spread across Europe. Masterpieces were born and their legacy lives on in today’s works and designs as well.

Realized in 18K white gold and set with white diamonds, the Oriana features pendants, earrings, necklaces and rings in two different colour options; the items of the new collection sport either South Sea white pearls or black Tahitian pearls giving customers a choice of stunning mono-chromatic variations.
