Piaget Possession Vibrant Palace

The new Piaget Possession Vibrant Palace collection showcases vivid shades of blue, by introducing the use of ornamental stones on the Maison’s iconic collection.

The Possession jewellery line debuted in 1990. The idea was to create a gold ring consisting of two interwoven bands that were bonded yet remained free to move around one another—a cheerful touch in everyday life. It soon became a success, and the company has since created many interpretations and variations, playing with shapes, materials, and light. In 2005, Piaget added a timepiece to Possession: gold rings with diamonds set on the case rotate endlessly around the dial.

In 2015, Piaget launched an updated collection featuring necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings in white and rose gold, making the line even more contemporary. In 2022, Piaget combined two of its signatures—the historical ‘Décor Palace’ engraving technique and the playful Possession concept—in a collection.

This year, Piaget presents the Piaget Possession Vibrant Palace line with lively ornamental stones, while the rotation remains the collection’s key feature.

Shades of Blue

Piaget’s creations have always been associated with high society, elevated glamour and flamboyant colours. The Maison revolutionised watch advertising with its bold campaigns in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. The strong, contrasting pictures were the result of a creative collaboration with Alberto Rizzo (1931–2004), the Italian photographer and artist. “Throughout his illustrious career, Rizzo redefined the standards for innovative fashion photography, always encouraging the public to challenge its expectations and embrace the avant-garde.” — Sarah Krueger, Phillips Auction, Head of Photographs, New York.

Daring hues are signature elements in many Piaget pieces still today, and especially blue—this colour became a pillar of the Maison’s identity and shaped the beginnings of its visionary explorations. Variations of blue call to mind the skies of La Côte-aux-Fées, as well as the azure and pop-art vibrancy of the Riviera, which define the Maison’s aesthetic. Last year, Piaget used vibrant turquoise stones not only on its Swinging Sautoirs but also on the new Sixtie watch.

The rotating elements of the collection introduce a meticulously cut hard stone mosaic – combining the signature gold engraving of Décor Palace with captivating ornamental stones, such as turquoise, sodalite, and dumortierite in shades of blue.

The line includes rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, and a necklace in 4N pink gold with the hard stone mosaic, half-moon-set diamonds, and the Décor Palace engraving.
