Vacheron Constantin launches a certified pre-owned watch programme, which has been designed for clients and collectors looking for pre-owned watches that meet the highest quality standards.
The ‘Certified Pre-Owned’ term has become more and more important not only for the watch buyers and collectors but also for brands and retailers.
According to a watch market study of the Boston Consulting Group , luxury watches are in demand as alternative investments. Luxury watches represent a $75 billion market, of which around 30% is pre-owned, with a growing tendency.
Some of the companies ensure an expert inspection and certification, while others’ in-house pre-owned certification program includes buying back, refurbishing and reselling their pre-owned watches.
The Certified Pre-Owned watch programme of Vacheron Constantin offers watches that have been meticulously inspected, certified and maintained by Vacheron Constantin watchmakers, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality. These pieces will come with a minimum 2-year international warranty (the Maison will repair or replace any part found to be defective free of charge).
Also, the pieces are accompanied by a physical documentation (a CPO guarantee letter), a pouch with a dedicated seal and a digital passport – provide the trust, transparency and traceability to its clients, leveraging blockchain technology. Each Digital Passport is unique and holds key information of the timepiece, for example, its ownership history and technical user guide. (Please see a bit more about the technology here.)
The Vacheron Constantin CPO programme is launched worldwide in collaboration with Watchfinder – a leader in the secondary watch market and a longstanding partner of the Manufacture.
